# Copy from sections

Extract and flatten field values from a source section group using the copy_from_sections method in computed fields.

Returns an array of the values for a field in a source section group. Use this method to flatten the output of complex nested sections.

# Parameters

The following parameters are in the computed field's [global Method](https://docs.sensible.so/docs/computed-field-methods#parameters) parameter:

| :------------------------------ | :----------------------------------------------- | :---------- |
| id (**required**)               | `copy_from_sections`                             |             |
| source\_sections (**required**) | The ID of the source section group.              |             |
| source\_field (**required**)    | The ID of the source field in the section group. |             |
